Aboa Mare Autonomous Vessel Remote Operations Center (AMROC), connected to Novia / Aboa Mare vessel bridge simulators, is now ready for research and testing purposes. The first hands-on tests on remote piloting will be conducted in a national Sea4Value / Future Fairway project this autumn. The center is provided by Brighthouse and its development work has been carried out in a MasterSIM project funded by the Ministry of Education. Other financiers were Finnpilot Pilotage, Kongsberg Maritime Finland Oy, Suomen Lauttaliikenne Oy and Novia University of Applied Sciences.
